The Big 60
I made this fun card for my husband's uncle who is celebrating his 60th birthday today!! He's throwing a big bash this weekend complete with a private show from the Celtic fusion-rock band Seven Nations. It should be a blast. Can't wait!
I finally got around to using Get to the Point from Papertrey. This is a fun set that can be used for so many things. I just need to get the creative juices flowing so I can use it even more.
I paired the arrows and sentiment with some patterned paper I've had forever. I inked the white edges with Simply Chartruese ink. The circle dotted stamp around the sentiment is from Inque Boutique who are no longer in business.
Stamps: Get to the Point, Get to Point sentiments (PTI), Circle It (Inque Boutique)
Paper: white, terracotta tile (PTI), Birthday Script patterned paper (outdoors and more)
Ink: terracotta tile, simply chartruese (PTI), sunflower, indian corn blue (CTMH)
Accessories: pop dots, circle nesties, corner rounder
Labels:
Get to the Point,
Papertrey Ink

FANTASTIC !!! I LOVE THE DOTTED CIRCLE AROUND "THE BIG 60" !!! GREAT COLORS TOO ......
what a great card!
Awesome card Sara! I love the birthday background, and the circle with the arrows pointing to it, just great!!
Very nice! I love pairing patterned papers with stamps. I rarely do a card with a piece of pretty patterned paper somewhere.
I can honestly say that this is the first card I've seen with this set that makes me wish I had it. I love it! So bright and cheerful! Happy Birthday Uncle!! ;0)
This is great Sara. I have that set as well but haven't inked it up yet. I really need to! The arrows are so cute all pointing to the "big" number.
This is such a fun card!! Great job!
Such a fun, fun card Sara!! This is the best use of the set I've seen so far. Im sure it will bring a smile to your uncle-in-law!
Wow, what a fun card! I didn't get that set, but seeing the latest creations make me think about it again. I also like the dotted circle and how you inked the edges with chartreuse ink and not the tea dye duo (which i usually use). I'm sure your husband's uncle will love it!
LOVE this!! That patterned paper works so well here, and it could totally be reproduced by stamping (and in any color combo!).
This set is beginning to grow on me!! I love this card.....super super layout!
Such a bright and happy card! Love it!
Fun card!
Great card, Sara!
Such a fun birthday card!!
What a fun card! Love how you used the set!
Love this! So perfect for guys...I knew I should have gotten that set!
This is a really fun card! So bright and cheery!
This turned out great! Nicely done!
OMG! I LOVE Seven Nations! I discovered them through my love for Great Big Sea. I think they opened for them once or something years ago...can't remember, but I love them anyway!
OH and I like your card too Sara. Not your typical style...good for you for breaking out! I like how bright and cheerful it is!
