White with a Pop of Color

I loved the Make-it-Monday challenge this week to make a card with white on white die cuts and a pop of color.  I needed to make a card for my nephew's 6th birthday so this was perfect.  He's having an Orange Party.  It's always been his favorite color so all the food and drink will be orange.

PTI April 2015 Blog Hop

I cannot remember the last time I joined the Papertrey Blog Hop.  I'm so happy that I got a chance this month.  I actually made two cards from the gorgeous inspiration photo.  I used the diagonal stripes Cover Plate and the Sweet Life roses on both.

This next one uses the negative strips from the Cover Plate die cut.  I left all the pieces in the Cover Plate die and placed a sheet of double sided adhesive over top of them.  Then I poured Cotton Candy glitter from Martha Stewart all over the panel.  It was messy and I'm not sure I'd go to this trouble again, but I love the result  -- and I have tons of glitter to put to use:-)

Circles Thank You

I made a set of these simple thank you cards because I always need more thank you cards on hand.  I was able to mass produce these with the help of the MISTI.  I received that great tool for my birthday from my family and that was the push that got me back into stamping.

The inspiration for this card came from Laurie Willison's card.  I could CASE Laurie's cards all day:)

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are enjoying a beautiful Easter weekend.  Here's a super-quick card I made using Papertrey's gold luxe foiled patterned paper and their Easter Alleluias stamp set.

It was so hard to get a good picture of this card.  In certain light the gold polka dots looked black and in others they were glowing so much it was blinding:)  Anyhow, I hope you can see that parts of the word Redeemer are embossed in gold as well as the cross.  Regardless, the message is the perfectly clear.  My REDEEMER lives!  What a beautiful assurance we have knowing that fact.

Have a blessed Easter!

One Layer Card Set

Hello out there ... long time no see.  I'm dusting off the blog to share a few new cards.  Stamping took a back seat to everything else for a long time and I'm happy that I'm finally back at it.

For these one layer cards, I kept things simple by masking off an area on each card and sponging a variety of inks.  Then I chose a silhouette image to stamp over the sponged area and finished it off with a sentiment.

These took no time at all and were so much fun to create.

Feathers from Sheena and sentiment from Papertrey

I'm entering these into Simon Says Stamps Anything Goes challenge and Shopping Our Stash Neon Rainbow challenge.  I certainly shopped my stash on these cards.  Along the way I found some long lost stamps!!!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend,
