Rustic Snowflakes

Here are two quick Christmas cards using the largest of Papertrey's new Fancy Flakes dies.  I decided to use colors that weren't quite traditional.  A brighter green and rust colored papers did the trick.

Rustic Snowflake2

I love how the middle of these snowflakes are stars.  I layered them up in the centers and added a black gemstone on one and a black brad on the other.  It also allows me to play along with the Festive Friday challenge to use stars on your holiday card.

I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Love Never Fails

Happy Saturday!  It's been a beautiful day here.  I'm back with a super, super quick card.  I wanted to play along with the Colour Q challenge because I love black and white cards with one other color.

I needed a card for a wedding we are going to next week.  I think this will work.

I stamped the verse onto the Top Note die cut and then again onto my patterned paper.  Then I die cut the patterned paper with my heart die and adhered it over the verse on the white panel.  Easy peasy and perfectly CAS.

A Trio of One Layer Cards

Here is a quick trio of one layer note cards that I made to donate to my local cancer center.  I know that they could always use cards of encouragement.

I used some old stamps for the background and silhouette.  Just because they are retired doesn't mean I don't still love them:)  The distressed block background stamp is from a set called Rustic Flowers by Close to My Heart.  The silhouette is from Silhouettes by Inque Boutique.  The sentiments all come from PTI's Faith and Hope set.

I'm playing along with Addicted to CAS:

FM127 With Sympathy

I have decided to donate a few cards to my local cancer center.  When I spoke to the director she said they could use all types of cards, but she specifically asked me for some sympathy cards.  Here is one that I made using some scraps I've had lying around.  If you cannot tell, I'm big on using up all the scraps I can.

The top die cut piece is part of a Top Note die cut and the flowers were punched out using a Martha Stewart flower punch.  I added some liquid pearls to the centers.

I'm entering this card into the Friday Mash Up challenge for thinking of you / sympathy cards to be donated.

I'll be back with more cards that I'm donating to the center.

Blessings,
