Quick & Easy Thank You Cards

After two birthdays and Christmas we needed a big handful of thank you cards.  I came up with this quick design that I could easily mass produce.  I impressed one of the 1 3/4" circle dies (E) from Papertrey's collection into Stampers Select White cardstock by putting the cardstock between the die and a tan Spellbinders Mat.  Since this cardstock is so thick the die doesn't cut through.  I've tried this technique on thinner cardstock and it does not work.

After impressing the medallion, I used my Scor Pal to make two more lines on the card front.  For this set of cards I chose to stamp the butterfly image from Round and Round in a variety of colors.  There are many other PTI sets that fit perfectly into the circle.  Giga Guidelines looks great too!

I love a CAS card!  What do you think?

All supplies Papertrey Ink unless stated.

Stamps:  Round and Round, 2009 Autumn Tags (sentiment)
Paper:  Stampers Select White
Ink:  Hawaiian Shores, Sweet Blush, Lavender Moon, black
Accessories:  Limitless Layers circle die, Scor-Pal, Spellbinders mat, cuttlebug

How smart you are! I had never thought to use that medallion as an impression plate, but it is really, really great. I loved how it makes a perfect frame for the butterfly image. Great idea.

Clean and simple. This is the second time today that I've seen this embossing technique - I've gotta give this a try. Nice work!

Fabulously creative design, Sara. Thank you for the idea to use the limitless layers die to emboss. It looks like you labored over the card. The Sweet Blush card tucked into the corner is my favorite use of color in this design.

Beautiful cards, Sara! I'm always on the lookout for flat, mass-produce-able cards for just this type of situation. I really like how you impressed the medallion and I'm so glad you shared with us how you did it. I'm going to try that tonight when I get home. :)
