Papertrey is introducing a new line called Monthly Moments for scrapbooking products. Our challenge was to create a 3x4 trading card that could be used in a pocket page or placed onto a card. I decided to make one feminine (see previous post) and one masculine scripture card.
For the masculine card I used a thin piece of balsa wood and stamped a tree image for the background. The little scroll images in each corner are from the long forgotten set called Boxes, Bags and Tags. I then used a thin black pen to draw the lines. The sides look messy because of the way the ink soaked into the woodgrain.
Masculine Card --
Stamps: Through the Trees, Beautiful Blessings, Boxes, Bags & Tags
Paper: Black, White
Ink: Haystack (palette), Black
Other: thin balsa wood, black micro pen

Love both your cards Sara! Especially love how you've framed the quote in this one. So happy to 'see' you again posting here and on the forum!
A very classy masculine card Sara - the balsa wood is such a great idea and I love the soft stamping in the background.
It's good to see you in blogland again - Sylvia xx
Oh, I love the soft trees in the background, and your scrolled corners! It sets off the scripture beautifully!
Oh, this one is gorgeous too! I love the effect of the balsa wood with that subtle background.
Sara, I love both cards. I love the verses. I love the effect of the triple stamping. I hope you are doing well. We are doing fine, God is good.
Lovely, restful, inspiring card! Perfect guy card!
