Simple Graduation Card and Money Lei

Here is a quick and easy graduation card that I made for my nephew.  I also made him a money lei as is our tradition in Hawaii.  Although he was graduating in Washington State we wanted to be sure he had lots of leis to celebrate his special day.  My mom made a different style money lei and my brother, sister and grandma all sent flower leis.

I made the graduation cap using this tutorial.   Here's a peek under the cap:

And here's the money lei which is the real gift.  Fifty one dollar bills all rolled up and tied with ribbon in his school colors.  It's not the prettiest lei by any means, but I don't think an 18 year old boy cares about pretty vs. money:)

And here's the handsome graduate:

What a great graduation card. That cap is especially cool. The money lei is perfect for an 18 year old (really anyone, right?)

Awesome graduation card! Love the hidden message inside the cap. The money lei is perfect and the graduate looks like he enjoyed it all.
