Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

It's Blog Hop time again for Papertrey!!!  This month's theme is felt.  I love PTI's new line of felt.  I chose to use some of their Hawaiian Shores felt for this card.  I also used felt from Hobby Lobby that I already had on hand.  No stamping on this card.  YIKES!

Quick explanation:
  • SU's Top Note die for the large black felt piece
  • Cuttlebug flower die for all blossoms except biggest HS piece
  • Blossom Two nestie for largest flower
  • Delightful Dahlia dies for leaves
  • Green Boutique patterned paper on black cs layer
  • rub-on for sentiment
  • rhinestones colored with Copic marker
  • black brad for flower center

A rub-on on felt = AH HA! That's fantastic! I'd love to know what you think of the PTI felt vs. the Hobby Lobby stuff (that's what I used and some of it seemed pretty cheap feeling). Great card! Have a fun night!

This is such a gorgeous card! I love the way you have layered the felt - first on the die and then the flower - and the background paper sets it off beautifully!

Love the black accent on your card. I wouldn't use that much black, but it is stunning!

It's a good life!

Great card! I'm glad to see that you made the rub-on work on the felt. I tried it for my card, but couldn't get one to stick. I'll have to try again now that I see it CAN be done.

I like how this turned out. I would not have thought of making such a large piece of felt a layer, but I love it! I'm going to have to try that too.
