Asian Fusion

Good morning all!  It's a lovely Saturday morning here in my part of the world.  Here's a card I made using Papertrey's Asian Fusion set.  I love this set and haven't used it nearly enough.  In fact, I stamped the vase and sentiment on the Top Note cut out last month and then it just sat on my stamp table.  I finally finished it up yesterday.

I started by cutting a piece of linen vellum cardstock with the Top Note die from SU.  I stamped the outline vase, stems and sentiment in black, then stamped the vase again on my Green Tea Leaves pp.  I stamped the stems in Hawaiian Shores ink onto a scrap of the linen vellum and then carefully cut around the vase and stems.

When I put those onto the card I thought it needed something else, so I used the two largest Blossom Two nestabilites to cut out a pretty Hawaiian Shores felt flower that I mounted under the vase and stems.  I also used my regular hole punch for the three felt dots on the right side of the card.  I couldn't throw out the felt scrap without getting every use out of it.

For the final touches I colored the center of the flowers with a red glitter gelly roll pen and added red rhinestones to the centers of the felt dots.  I'm happy with how this turned out.  What do you think?

All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless stated otherwise.

Stamps:  asian fusion
Paper:  unknown red textured cs, linen vellum, green tea leaves pp
Ink:  hawaiian shores, Memento tuxedo black
Accessories:  blossom two nesties (spellbinders), hawaiian shores felt, Top Note die (SU), hole punch, rhinestones, gelly roll pen, pop dots

Wow what an awesome card Sara! Thank you for explaining how you designed it, I learned quite a few things. I have the Nestie flower set but never thought about using the outline like that. Also liked how you used the scraps to make the felt dots. Definitely lots of details to CASE! :o)

Oh Sara, this card took my breath away! Just a lovely design and LO here. Your felt frame is the perfect focal point for that PP vase and flowers. I love the linen look to the white too, subtle but adding a touch of needed texture.

Very pretty card. I do not own Asian Fusion but every time I see it the cards are so beautiful with it. Love how you used the flower die as a frame behind the flowers and vase.
