CASEing Butterflies

Happy Friday everyone!  I had some time today for crafting so I attempted the Watercolor Spat technique for Papertrey's Make it Monday this week.  It was a fail so I'm not posting it:)

Instead I'll post a card that I know is a winner because it's a direct CASE from the amazing Stephanie Wincott.  You can see her original card HERE.  Aren't all those butterfly cards gorgeous?

This was so quick and easy and I love everything about it!  I die cut each butterfly and backed the openings with scraps of card stock I had in my stash that matched the ink colors I wanted to use.  After adhering the butterflies centers I popped up the wings and added some drops of pearls using my pearl pen.  I'm planning on making a few more cards like this to have on hand.

Have a wonderful weekend,

All supplies from Papertrey Ink unless stated.

Stamps:  Beautiful Butterflies, Inside & Out: Love
Paper:   White, colored paper scraps (?)
Ink:  Tropical Blue (delta), Pear Tart (memento), Pinkolicious (Color Box)
Other:  Beautiful Butterflies dies, Cream Pearl Pen (viva)

Love how you have the colors peeking out from the butterflies - what a perfect touch!

Love this design, and those butterflies look wonderful popped up and backed with colored papers like you did. I hope you try again for a MIM card. I know that is on my list for tomorrow.
