No Stamps, No Ink

Today I'm taking the day to try some new recipes and make some cards!  I could run around town doing errands, but I'm choosing to stay home today and dig into some crafty goodies that have gone unused lately.  Yay for a day off work!

Here's a quick birthday card using Papertrey's Text Block Birthday die.  I received this die as a birthday gift from a sweet stamping friend.  It was such a wonderful surprise.  I love that I can make a super quick birthday card with this.

I cut the text block out of gold glitter card stock and layered black behind it to make it pop.  It's difficult to capture the sparkle of the gold papers in a photo but in real life this card shines.

I'm playing along with two birthday challenges:

Have a wonderful day,
