FTL 124

Good morning all!  I've decided that I need to play along with more challenges in order to get some creative juices flowing.  One of my favorite challenge blogs is Clean & Simple Stamping.  The sketch challenge for this week (FTL124) looked perfect for using Papertrey's Mat Stack 1 set.  I have not inked that up enough.  I love this gorgeous frame stamp.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

January PTI Blog Hop

It's time for Papertrey's monthly Blog Hop!!  I'm so excited that the challenge for this month was a simple one.  We were to use a stamp set or stamp that has not seen ink yet.  I chose two stamps from All Booked Up.

When I first bought this set two of my favorite stamps in it were this book and this sentiment.  I cannot believe it took me all these months to actually use them.  I chose to keep everything clean and simple (don't I always?).  I'll keep this short since you all are hopping:)

Quick & Easy Thank You Cards

After two birthdays and Christmas we needed a big handful of thank you cards.  I came up with this quick design that I could easily mass produce.  I impressed one of the 1 3/4" circle dies (E) from Papertrey's collection into Stampers Select White cardstock by putting the cardstock between the die and a tan Spellbinders Mat.  Since this cardstock is so thick the die doesn't cut through.  I've tried this technique on thinner cardstock and it does not work.

After impressing the medallion, I used my Scor Pal to make two more lines on the card front.  For this set of cards I chose to stamp the butterfly image from Round and Round in a variety of colors.  There are many other PTI sets that fit perfectly into the circle.  Giga Guidelines looks great too!

I love a CAS card!  What do you think?
