CAS-ual Fridays #53

As soon as I saw this challenge I knew that I wanted to use some die cuts that I had set aside after making THIS card.  Being the frugal person that I am, I always try to use every scrap I have.  So I went to my "to be used someday" pile and pulled out these ginkgo leaves.

I stamped them in Autumn Rose and then layered them onto an Autumn Rose card base.  The sentiment is embossed in white powder.  Easy peasy!

Have a wonderful weekend!

PTI January 2012 Blog Hop

It's the 25th of the month so that means the Papertrey Blog hop is going on.  This month we are to choose one of our favorite projects from 2011 and create something new based on that.  I chose this wedding card that I made using Harvest Berries.   You can see the original post HERE.

This time I chose to use the same colors, but changed it up a bit by adding the negative die cut over the stamped leaves.  I used the smaller version of the above sentiment that is found in the Star Prints set. I also trimmed a bit off the card front and  punched the border on back of the base instead.

Happy hopping!

Paper Dolls Challenge # Whatever

I'm part of a wonderful blog group called the Papertrey Paper Dolls.  For a while there we were on a roll with our challenges and commenting and then we all got busy with other things.  Renee posted an easy challenge for us last month so that we can jump start our mojos and participate again.  Thanks Renee!

Any other Dolls out there ready to get this group going again?  I cannot believe how I fell behind in our challenges.  So I am making it a point to do better -- even with the busy holidays coming up.  If I keep waiting until I'm not busy, I'll never get any of these done.

Here is my card for Renee's challenge: to CASE Dawn McVey.  I chose to CASE the first card in THIS POST that Dawn made for the August PTI release.

I just love the look of New Leaf ink on Kraft cardstock.  I don't think it shows up well in the photo, but I also stamped over the leaves in white ink for a subtle shadow effect.

The little white tag at the top of the sentiment panel was cut from the top of the bookmark die and edged at the bottom with the Mat Stack 4 die.

Hope you'll play along with this great challenge too!

Blessings,

One Layer Wedding

You know I love One Layer cards so I didn't want to miss Wee Memories One Layer Challenge this week.

And did you see that Jenny is doing a HUGE giveaway with awesome prizes? Click HERE to read all about it.

Now onto the card.

This is a wedding card for a family member who is getting married this weekend.  The ginkgo leaves are from PTI's Harvest Berries set.  I LOVE them!!!  They are stamped here in Almost Amethyst and the berries are stamped in silver.  That big, gorgeous sentiment is embossed with Silver EP.  Look how it shines!
